Hybrid Acoustic Pianos

Disklavier

In 1982, it started with a simple idea. To craft an acoustic piano with a record and playback system unlike any other. Decades of continuous innovation have created an acoustic piano that can faithfully reproduce every nuance of a performance and stream it anywhere in the world. Including your living room. It’s no wonder the Yamaha Disklavier has become the reproducing piano everyone is trying to reproduce.

AvantGrand

It starts with a true acoustic action. More than 5,000 genuine parts, meticulously crafted to deliver the unmistakable touch of a Yamaha acoustic piano. Our groundbreaking innovations recreate the sound and feel of two legendary concert grand pianos, from the natural vibrations of the strings to the subtle harmonics and rich overtones. All with the power, colors and shadings for the most demanding repertoire. The more you play AvantGrand, the more you realize it’s not just a revolution in digital pianos. It’s a revolution in the piano.

Silent Piano

By day, it’s a world-renowned acoustic piano. By night, the neighbors won’t hear a thing. SILENT Piano™ puts the sound and presence of the world’s finest concert grands in your headphones. Simply switch your Yamaha acoustic piano into SILENT mode and our digital technology reproduces the acoustic tones, nuanced colors and resonance so faithfully, you’ll almost forget you’re wearing headphones.

TransAcoustic

Inside an acoustic piano, hammers at the opposite side of the keys strike the strings, and the strings vibrate to produce sound. This initial sound is amplified by the soundboard that occupies much of the piano interior, and the entire body of the piano serves as a resonator, creating the rich and harmonically complex sound that is distinctively acoustic. Now, imagine an acoustic piano that allows you to control the volume, while still enjoying the original sound-projecting design of the piano based around the soundboard. That’s Yamaha's revolutionary TransAcoustic™ Piano.
